Genesee Glass & Mirror was founded by William Jones in July of 1975, after working at another area glass shop. Beginning as a D.B.A. in 1975 Genesee Glass & Mirror’s first location was in a garage at William’s home. Outgrowing that small garage next to his home he then rented a building at 78 Bennington Dr. (next door to its current location) at 90 Bennington Drive. Soon after Genesee Glass & Mirror continued to grow becoming incorporated in March of 1978, with only a few co-workers and himself. Today you will still find most of those employees are still with the company, some as co-owners.
Since its conception, our two main concerns at Genesee Glass have been customer satisfaction and our reputation. With that said we also have retained many of the customers and employees that we started with.
Our expertise in glass service is not from a book, it has evolved from the combined knowledge of its backbone (the employees), with each one contributing what they know to get the job done, and done right. Part of our logo, the step van, became a reality from necessity. With our mobile step vans we are able to bring our "rolling workshop" to your work site, giving our installers the advantage of most repairs being done on-site and keeping the mess contained within it.
We are a full service shop, providing you with all facets of the glass industry. If you need a windshield replaced, a window repaired at your home or a storefront repaired or replaced at your business, our experienced staff will accommodate your needs courteously and professionally.
